Havasu Helping Girls’ Adolescent Health & Development Support Program (AGHD) is designed to ensure that adolescent girls have access to basic health resources, accurate information, and support during some of the most important—and often confusing—stages of development.

Our goal is simple:
No girl should feel unprepared when it comes to her health and development.

This program focuses on health, education, and personal well-being—in partnership with families, while respecting individual circumstances and values.

This program exists to ensure girls are safe, informed, and supported—especially in moments when they or their families may not know where to turn.

what is the AGHD program?

The Adolescent Health & Development Support Program (AGHD) is a pilot program that helps provide several resources for eligible recipients.

Pilot Program Phase

The AGHD program is currently being introduced as a limited pilot.
This allows us to:

Evaluate community needs
Ensure responsible implementation
Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders

Services may expand or adjust based on outcomes and community input.

Who This Program Serves

During the pilot phase, AGHD services are available to:

Adolescent girls (puberty through age 18), who are local residents and/or students in the Lake Havasu City area

This program is designed especially for girls who:

Have questions about their health
Need access to basic resources
May not have reliable support elsewhere

how do i receive AHGD services?

First, apply to the program. Applicants will be accepted if they meet the program requirements listed above and there is an open spot in the program.

After being accepted into the program, you will need to make an appointment with a service provider at our office via our CharmEHR Portal. During your visit, the provider will complete an intake form, discuss your history and needs, and explain the services/items.

what is the cost for AGHD services and items?

There is no cost to recipients for AGHD services and/or items. Medical insurance is not needed.

Available Support & Resources

Depending on individual needs, the program may provide access to:

Menstrual and reproductive health education
Pregnancy testing and guidance
Preventative and basic reproductive health resources
Guidance and support for girls navigating real-life health and development situations

Specific resources are provided based on individual needs and in accordance with health guidelines and program policies. Detailed service options are discussed during intake and available to enrolled participants through our secure patient portal.

All services are provided:

Free of charge
In a respectful environment that prioritizes appropriate privacy while encouraging family communication whenever possible
Based on availability during the pilot phase
